Working Equitation

Working Equitation (WE) is the up-and-coming equestrian discipline taking off in the UK and already very popular all over the World. If you haven't yet discovered what it's all about, then get in touch to learn more, or even better pop along to one of our regular training clinics. Training WE has multiple benefits to transfer to other disciplines, with the main cross over being dressage, but whether you normally compete in eventing, SJ hunting, ridden showing, etc everyone can find a fun challenge and benefit for their horse in the sport.

Get Competitive!

WE competitions are held all over the UK with Team, Regional and National competitive opportunities, with 5 different levels starting at walk and trot, all the way up to PSG equivalent, there really is something for everyone. Competitions are three phase, first is the dressage, then the ease of handing around a course of obstacles, and finally the really fun part - the speed round!

What is Working Equitation?

In Working Equitation, there are 3 phases:

The Dressage Phase - similar to a normal dressage test but with some of the movements performed slightly differently

The Ease of Handling Phase - navigating around obstacles you may find when hacking; such as a gate, bridge or a jump and other obstacles such as barrels, slalom, sideways pole, rein-back bell and more!

The Speed Phase - using obstacles from the Ease of Handling phase...but performed at maximum speed!!
