The Meadowbrook Story

Experienced. Professional. Supportive.

Meadowbrook was established in 2014 by Sarah Davenport, initially offering sports massage treatments, thermal imaging and class 3b laser therapy to a large equine client base in the Midlands. 2016 saw the addition of a Derbyshire based 15 box rehabilitation yard to Meadowbrook, catering primarily for racehorses. In 2020 Cheshire based Alison Gregg joined the team as an equine therapist, bringing over 30 years of experience to the business, Alison also heads up the Academy as our Principle Tutor.

About Us: About Me

Our Ethos

We are a small but very supportive team, we deliver our courses in a way that helps you to really understand equine anatomy. Anyone can pick up a text book and learn the location of the muscles "parrot fashion", but that's not us. We view the horse in a holistic way so that we can help you to really improve a horses way of going, by understanding the connections of the entire system.

Alison brings a vast wealth of experience to Meadowbrook, having run her own livery and rehabilitation yard business for over 30 years. With an eye for detail and a passion for both dressage and showing, Alison has enjoyed consistent success in both disciplines, with wins and placings at HOYS, RIHS, BD Area Festivals & Regionals. Alison's patience in rehabilitating numerous horses, involving post operative and recovery care, has ensured many have returned to competition, despite the odds.

Alison is primarily based at the Academy as our Principle Tutor, but is also kept busy with her own equine massage clients and rehabilitation cases, and her own ongoing studies to soon qualify as an Equine Osteopath.
